Covered Blog: Comics Revised!
So I don’t know about you, but back in the day I collected comic books. Okay, that’s a lie, I STILL collect comic books. And no matter how many of my own characters I come up with, I love to make fanart of my favorite superheros. But nothing I have ever come up with is as cool as the awesome re-works that are showcased over at Covered, a blog run by cartoonist Robert Goodin. Artists from all over take their favorite comic covers and redesign them in their own style, and the results are pretty phenomenal. Here are a few of our favorites for your enjoyment (originals on the left, revised covers on the right).

Calvin and Hobbes by Chris Hoobler

The New Mutants by Ptricio Oliver

The Amazing Spiderman by Dan Lehane

The Spider-Woman by Paul Sizer

Star Trek by Alex Fine

Tank Girl by Nic Cowan

Covered is amazing. I just went over and subscribed to the RSS feed. Great post! Huge props to Robert Goodin.
apart from every design i like the tank girl, how its changed well. huge difference. thanks for sharing . :D
there are a ton more over at that blog. it’s great to see how different artists interpret the concept of re-working a cover. some do it exactly the same, but in their own style; others want to ‘fix’ the original; and then of course there are the ones who change everything. it’s a great project.
I love this!
Great post, I like all of the revised covers to the originals!! except for the Tank Girl cover, for some reason I just really like the style of the old one!!
Thanks for sharing.
