Cardboard Artist: Chris Gilmour
Sometimes one come across an artist/illustrator whose work you really enjoy, but are equally glad that it is not your calling. Such is the case with cardboard sculpter, Chris Gilmour. Working with cardboard, Gilmour makes exacting reproductions of everyday objects. The level and intensity of detail is astounding, while the material softens and warms this truly impressive work.

Wow! That’s amazing, making art from cardboard!
Ah….. this is nuts… that bike… all the little pieces… Cool find!
Wow! Amazing stuff! I wonder how long it took this guy to make that bike!!! Just a petty you can’t ride it then…
Haha! That’s awesome! Would be nice to collect this kinda stuff..
Yup! I know exactly what you mean about your ‘calling’ My OCD would erupt if I started to work with cardboard and such detail! But it’s wonderful and I would imagine very tactile (and that would get me too – everyone wanting to touch – I’d want it pristine) LOL
i’d just end up with a world of papercuts.
