Cale Atkinson’s Creepy Cool “Halloween Heads” Art Series
Continuing our mini-Halloween celebration today I wanted to spotlight this amazingly cool series, Halloween Heads, by Canadian illustrator Cale Atkinson. Cale, who’s worked on a variety of books and video games, began the Halloween Heads series last year to showcase 31 hauntingly fun monster mugs every day leading up to the arrival of the Great Pumpkin. This year Cale has continued the tradition with yet another assortment of spooks, villains and fiends all done in a simple 2D style.
Here’s a few of my favorites, can you name them all?
Rondal Scott III is an illustrator and graphic designer who tackles each day with Red Bull-induced enthusiasm and is a self-professed Twitter addict. He’s illustrated several independent children’s books and in 2009 his obsession with horror movies and pop culture inspired him to establish the Strange Kids Club, a virtual clubhouse for geeky, pop culture nostalgia.
