James Burlinson (aka Burlisaurus) is a unique individual. Preferring the safety of his sketchbook over “mean people & scary monsters” the English-based illustrator has a wicked imagination that comes to life through his wild renditions of pop culture icons like Mario, Link (Legend of Zelda), Finn & Jake from Adventure Time and plenty of classic 80s films. Whether it’s deconstructing Mario or recreating the fantasy dance party from Jim Henson’s Labyrinth, Burlinson lends a signature style that blends street art with clever character design. Oh… did I mention he wants to “build myself a castle full of swords and chicken broth?” Yeah, he’s definitely unique.
